As I’ve stated on a few occasions here at SQ, I’m not a huge fan of zombie shows, games, movies, etc. I’m not saying I hate ’em, but I’m not borderline obsessed with the genre like much of ‘Merica is these days. I missed the Walking Dead season 2 finale recently (hell, I missed the entire season), and apparently I also missed the first game play trailer for the upcoming zombie and PS3 blockbuster, The Last of Us. To give you the bottom line up front: The Last of Us looks absolutely awesome. Everything about this trailer seems very well put together, and I realize it is only a trailer, but this looks like its going to be a must-buy. The acting and voice overs look and sound great, which is rare in a video game, and most importantly the game play looks phenomenal. I haven’t been excited about an upcoming game for a while now, but I’ve got June 14th (official release date) marked down on my calendar.
Kristen Bell’s Sloth Meltdown
I know, this is not a new video, but it is an Interweb classic; Plus I just watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night, so deal with it. With over 15 million views on YouTube, the Kristen Bell sloth meltdown from her appearance on The Ellen Show back in January just doesn’t get old.
April Fools Joke Gone Wrong
Thankfully April Fools is over. We wrote yesterday just how much the Internet goes overboard nowadays for April Fools, but this lady just about one-upped all of the Interweb with her “joke” that landed “the Law” on her front porch somewhere in Hicksville, America.
The Wolverine Movie Trailer
I’ll admit, I was skeptical when Hollywood announced a Wolverine-only movie was in the works. After watching the official trailer for The Wolverine however, I am completely amped: it looks awesome. Maybe it’s the ninjas at the end, maybe it looks like Wolverine just got back from ‘Nam with that haircut (or lack thereof), or maybe it’s the dark, ominous tones in the trailer; whatever it is, this trailer does it for me. July 26, you’ll know where I’ll be, and you ain’t getting any of my Junior Mints.
World War Z Movie Trailer
Summer is almost upon us, and that means its time for the Hollywood film studios to bombard us with preparatory fires for their upcoming “summer blockbusters”. Brad Pitt’s chance at summer fame will land on June 21st in the form of “World War Z”, which is a humanity’s-last-stand, apocaplytpic zombie free for all that is based off the famous Max Brooks novel with the same title. I’m not into the whole zombie craze, but I appear to be in the minority in this country as it seems every other show or movie out these days has something to do with zombies. Oblivion Movie Trailer
No, this has nothing to do with the popular video game series from Bethesda (which I could never really get into; first-person RPG’s and me usually don’t mix), but it does look like it will be pretty stellar. On April 19th, Tom Cruise is back on the big screen alongside Morgan Freeman and former-Bond girl Olga Kurylenko in what looks to be a very cool, post-apocalyptic, fight-for-Earth, sci-fi thriller.
No this is not based on the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion role playing game, but it does look pretty awesome if you enjoy a good sci-fi thriller. Starring Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, and former-Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, the film is set well into a post-apocalyptic future on earth as Tom Cruise attemps to figure out where he remembers his past, fights off what appears to be an always impressive alien counter-attack, and put the moves on Olga with his special forces, “operator special”, Yankees baseball hat. Oblivion lands in theaters in less than thirty days on April 19th; enjoy the trailer, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
The Internship Movie Trailer
If I could Fandango me some tickets to this tonight, I would. In other words, on June 7th, your butt had best be planted in your local theater’s seats to watch the premiere of The Internship, starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. You know how some times you watch a trailer and absolutely know that the movie will follow through and rock once you finally do see it? Taken was like that for me (and probably all of America), and The Internship gave me that same feeling: this movie is going to be awesome.
All my X-Men fans will really appreciate the trailer as well!
After Earth Movie Trailer
Will Smith is back for his next Summer blockbuster in After Earth, but this time he’s brought his son along for the ride. Say what you will about the actual films, but Will Smith Summer movies always do well at the box office. And while a few in recent memory have been mediocre, they have all been entertaining. I don’t think anything will ever top Independence Day, but you never know.

MLB 13 The Show with Buster Posey
Playstation has the best commercials, period. Kevin Butler carried the Sony flag for a while, and has some priceless commercials that are still funny to watch on YouTube. This new guy Sony has plugged into its new MLB 13 The Show commercials is arguably just as good with what we’ve seen so far; I am definitely looking forward to more commercials with this guy in the future!

The Hangover 3 Official Trailer
Get excited. The wolf pack returns to Las Vegas, and movie screens around the world on May 24th, 2013. Personally I thought the sequel was sub par, but I think everyone’s expectations were sky high after the epic intro. Legendary comedic director/writer Todd Phillips made the write choice by setting the trilogy’s conclusion back where where it should be: Sin City.
