Every time I hear the word “logic”, I think back to my freshman year in college when I experienced my first and only logic course. Going in I figured it would be simple; I mean really, how hard could Logic 105 be? Well, let’s just say it was not easy; I barely registered a C in the course, and of course my parents were thrilled. Video games logic on the other hand is something I think we can all understand, at least more than “A -> B : D”; the funny pic / stellar gaming e-card will register with all of our gamers out there in SQ Nation. On a side note, it’s pretty amazing to see just how far the “someecards.com” site has come. I remember back in 2008 while I was at the Marine Corps’ “The Basic School”, one of my roommates introduced me to it, and thought it was a really good idea. Now these crazy e-cards are all you see on Facebook, but I digress. Hit the link below for some video game logic!
Bars We Like: Stella’s Lounge, Grand Rapids, MI
Although I only lived in Grand Rapids, MI, for about 8 months, Stella’s Lounge made quite the impression on my stomach and liver. Located in the Heartside district of downtown Grand Rapids, Stella’s Lounge offers a huge variety of old school video arcade games, an awesome variety of local, Michigander-craft beers, and according to GQ Magazine’s July 2012 issue, “the best burger in the world“. Stella’s for me originally was the local, convenient bar, as I lived literally across the street from the entrance on Commerce Ave; however, I probably didn’t go there for a good month or two after moving in because of another stellar, Grand Rapids craft beer bar called “HopCat”. It was at that awesome bar that I realized that HopCat owner also owned Stella’s, so I figured enough was enough; let’s check this place out. When I walked in on that Saturday afternoon last Summer, I was extremely surprised; hit the link for more on this awesome drink, eat, and playery!

iOS Games We Like: Ridiculous Fishing
I am pretty damn picky when it comes to iPhone/iOS games and apps; Mutant Mudds was the last game that really got me hooked, and I still find myself running back through those 3D levels in a vain attempt to reach 100% completion (get back to me in a few years). Although I have a track record of downloading many different iOS games on my iPhone 5, the majority get deleted either right away, or within a day or two at the latest. Ridiculous Fishing is one of those rare, insanely addicting iOS games that has made its way onto my iPhone, and I can’t stop playing it. And for only $2.99 in the App Store, this game is absolutely well worth it. More details on why we like Ridiculous Fishing after the link.
Infographic: A Positive View on Gaming
Infographics are all the craze on the Interweb right now, and while that may possibly be the most obvious statement of the year thus far, I don’t care. That’s why we incorporated the word “slightly” into our name; it’s like a free get out of jail card after saying something stupid. “Well your Honor, I never said I was qualified, only ‘slightly qualified‘.” Where were we? Ah yes, infographics. Where the two glorious fields of statistics and graphic design come together for all to enjoy. Today’s visual statistic display takes a positive view on gaming, which sadly, is not done enough. Hit the link below, and cheer up! You’re only at the coolest website ever.
Call of Duty: Ghosts Confirmed; Release Date Set
The rumors were right, and now we have an official release date. Call of Duty: Ghosts will hit store shelves in, wait for it, November of this year. Yes, November. Pretty shocking, isn’t it? /sarcasm. The official release date is November 5th, and according to the poster below, appears to keep the modern, SOF-approach that appears to never get old with the COD audience. Who remembers the original Call of Duty for PC, where the sound was so real it felt like you were actually in Germany? I digress; hit the link below for the official Ghosts game poster, and if you want more on Ghosts, expect more from Activision tomorrow.

24 Things That Prove Video Games Are All Grown Up
It’s sad to think about, but I turn the fresh young age of 30 in approximately three weeks. I’ve been gaming for just about every single one of those years since my original spawn in 1983, and it started with many of the games/systems on the hilariously nostalgic list below. I’m looking forward (in a weird way) to the day when I’m 60, to see what the average “gaming age” will be then; it will be like the jokes that started on Facebook a few years ago that asked the question, “What happens when we all start getting old?” Awesome photo roll below that’s sure to make your Tuesday less crappy!

MLB 13 The Show with Buster Posey
Playstation has the best commercials, period. Kevin Butler carried the Sony flag for a while, and has some priceless commercials that are still funny to watch on YouTube. This new guy Sony has plugged into its new MLB 13 The Show commercials is arguably just as good with what we’ve seen so far; I am definitely looking forward to more commercials with this guy in the future!
My favorite quote: “You’re a video game.”
